DOT Drug Tests are conducted in accordance to DOT 49 CFR Part 40 protocols and regulations. The urine is collected using a split-cup technique in specially designed secured cups, and sealed with tamper-evident tape. The specimen is then sent via overnight delivery to a SAMHSA testing laboratory. Results are obtained within 24-48 hours (work week). An MRO (Medical Review Officer) will review the results.
Non-DOT Drug Tests (urine) can be conducted via a collection in which the specimen is sent to a SAMHSA laboratory for testing, or by a rapid test. Collection results will be obtained within 24-48 hours (work week), and rapid tests will have results within minutes. “Presumptive Positive” tests requiring confirmation testing will be sent to a SAMHSA laboratory; though, additional fees may be assessed.
Urine and Hair Collection Services are offered to those companies that already have a nationwide contract with a drug testing laboratory. DTM will follow Chain of Custody protocols to collect the specimen, and deliver it to the affiliated laboratory for a fee. The collection services are beneficial to an employer since the collection is done onsite, and the employees do not have to be shuttled with a supervisor to the affiliated laboratory on company time. A company can reduce their costs and will not have to worry about a loss in production.
Pre-Employment, Random, Reasonable Cause (Suspicion), Post Accident/Incident, Follow-Up, and Return To Duty are Drug & Alcohol Testing services that DTM provides. DTM can help an employer establish a Drug-Free Workplace Program that is custom-designed. Reasonable Suspicion Training for employers can be provided on an annual basis.
We have offices located in Edinburg and McAllen, Texas. Please call for more information or to schedule Drug & Alcohol Testing services.
